Axis FA series is an affordable, high-performance modular camera family for multi view surveillance, allowing you to covertly monitor four close indoor areas with one IP address. It is ideal for use in shops, banks, offices and airports.



The series includes a 4-channel host and two sensor units (one with a standard lens and the other with a zoom lens). The host can be connected to four sensor units and has a powerful processor that can simultaneously stream full frame HDTV 1080p video on all four sensor units. While supporting wide dynamic range (WDR), zipstream, analysis, HDMI connectivity, audio, I / O ports, and local storage, an axis FA series system can reduce the total cost.
The series comprises one four-channel main unit and two sensor units (one with a standard lens; the other, a varifocal lens).
The main unit can connect to four sensor units and has a powerful processor that can stream full frame rate HDTV 1080p videos from all four sensor units simultaneously.



Together with support for wide dynamic range (WDR), Zipstream, analytics, HDMI connection, audio, input/output ports and local storage, an AXIS FA Series system delivers a total cost of ownership that feels like a bargain.
Hidden and flexible

A thumb sized sensor unit can be concealed at the line of sight or in a desired compact location. The long cable from the sensor unit to the host allows you to flexibly place the host in the gap.
For the axis FA series, the host and sensor units are sold separately, so you can choose which sensor unit is most suitable for your application. Note that the host and sensor units in the axis FA series must not be used in combination with those in the axis F series.
Excellent details
An axis FA series system can stream full frame HDTV 1080p video, so you won't miss any details or actions. It also always supports axis WDR wide dynamic shadow hunting technology. The WDR wide dynamic shadow hunting technology in axis FA series will give priority to the dark areas in the scene with high contrast illumination, such as the backlight scene of people standing in front of a very bright background. In this kind of scene, the traditional camera which does not support wide dynamic range can get a darker portrait; while axis FA products that support WDR wide dynamic hunting technology can make the color and details in the dark area more visible. WDR technology in axis FA series is also optimized for movement, so there is no moving artifact when fast moving objects pass through. In low light scenarios, the axis FA series system provides excellent color video with low noise.

Keep total cost down
The HDP 1080fa series typically features four lower cost cameras than the standard HDTV 1080fa system. If you use only one Ethernet cable for four sensor units, you can reduce your network port requirements and save the cost of network switches. In addition, if you use an IP address, you can only need a single video management software (VMS) license to view video on four sensor units.
Axis FA series systems also save bandwidth and storage requirements. Axis zipstream technology, for example, can effectively encode H.264 video streams, reducing storage and bandwidth requirements by up to 50% or more, while retaining important details. The use of supported Analytics (e.g., video motion detection, tamper alarm, and other analysis compatible with axis camera application platform) can also help reduce bandwidth and storage usage.
