The axis fa54 host can be connected to four ultra concealed axis FA sensor units to monitor four indoor areas in close proximity. The host can be used as the basis of a complete video monitoring system, and is an ideal choice for small shops, banks or offices. Or it can be used as a supplementary component of a larger system that requires super covert monitoring with sensor units.

The axis fa54 has a powerful processor that enables full frame rate HDTV 1080p synchronous video streaming on all four sensor units.
It also supports the following functions:



Synchronize four views of the video stream and view four scenes, each accounting for a quarter of the display
WDR (wide dynamic range) and wide dynamic shadowing technology can obtain better image quality under complex illumination conditions
Zipstream technology reduces bandwidth and storage requirements

Hidden and flexible
Like all modular camera systems, the axis FA series is based on a subdivided network camera concept in which cameras are divided into sensor units (including lenses and image sensors) and hosts (camera bodies). The unit is connected by a cable which supplies power to the sensor unit.
For the axis FA series, the host and sensor units are sold separately, so you can choose which sensor unit is most suitable for your application. Note that the host and sensor units in the axis FA series must not be used in combination with those in the axis F series.
Excellent video quality and WDR wide dynamic shadowing Technology
Axis fa54 host always supports axis WDR wide dynamic shadow hunting technology. Axis fa54 prioritizes dark areas in scenes with high contrast illumination, such as backlit scenes where people stand in front of very bright backgrounds. In this kind of scene, the traditional camera which does not support the wide dynamic range can get a darker portrait; while axis fa54, which supports WDR wide dynamic hunting technology, can make the color and details in the dark area more visible. WDR technology in axis FA products is also optimized for movement, so there is no moving artifact when fast moving objects pass through. In low light scenarios, the axis FA series system provides excellent color video with low noise.

Keep total cost down
The cost of a system equipped with an axis fa54 host and four HDTV 1080p sensor units is generally lower than that of four standard HDTV 1080p cameras with similar functions. If you use only one Ethernet cable for four sensor units, you can reduce your network port requirements and save the cost of network switches. In addition, if you use an IP address, you can only need a single video management software (VMS) license to view video on four sensor units.
Axis FA series systems also save bandwidth and storage requirements. Axis zipstream technology, for example, can effectively encode H.264 video streams, reducing storage and bandwidth requirements by up to 50% or more, while retaining important details. The use of recorded bandwidth and storage can also help reduce the use of triggered events.
