Flexible installation
The axis f44 host supports up to four axis f sensor units capable of monitoring four adjacent areas. The main unit can be mounted 12 meters (39 feet) from the sensing unit

Covering four regions, economic and efficient
Axis f44 provides a set of simple and cost-effective multi screen monitoring solutions, which stream images from four different areas simultaneously through an Ethernet port. The total installation cost of axis f44, the four sensing components, and other system components may be lower than the cost of a system that includes four equivalent standard webcams.
For example, the cost of a network switch may be lower due to the reduction in the number of ports required. If the video management software (VMS) views axis f44 as requiring one license instead of four, the license fee for VMS can also be reduced. The overall installation and layout of these components may also be easier and more flexible than traditional camera solutions. In addition, the versatile axis f44 supports two full-size SD card slots for local storage of recorded content, resulting in a high-performance stand-alone solution.
Two capture modes
Axis f44 supports two different shooting modes. The 1080p capture mode can stream four independent 1080p videos at a rate of 12.5/15 frames per second (50 / 60 Hz), and provide omni-directional monitoring through the 1080p image sensor of axis f sensor unit.
The 720p capture mode can stream four HDTV 720p video streams simultaneously at full frame rate in the form of clipping picture (the horizontal viewing angle is about 35% to 42% smaller than that in 1080p resolution mode, depending on the sensor unit).
Axis f44 also supports a single video stream in the form of four split pictures, which is composed of four independent pictures from the connected sensing components. Axis f44, together with axis f sensing unit, can provide color video in low light level of 0.3 lux.

Forensic capture technology
The 720p Capture mode of the AXIS F44 provides Forensic capture on all four channels. "Hunting shadow" ultra wide dynamic (Forensic capture)
The function is activated when connected to an axis f sensor unit that supports this function. With the help of "hunting shadow" ultra wide dynamic technology, it can present extremely bright and dark areas in the scene in high detail. This technology is very suitable for the scene where the object appears dark because of the bright background, such as the entrance or the front of ATM machine; or the night solution, the camera must deal with the low light environment as well as the bright light from vehicles, street lights, signboards and stores at the same time.
The axis f44 perfectly matches the axis f sensor unit to provide color video at a low illumination of 0.3 lux.
Zipstream
Reducing the bit rate with Axis Zipstream
Axis f44 supports axis zipstream technology to realize more efficient implementation of H.264 video encoder. It is suitable for a variety of monitoring scenarios and can reduce bandwidth and storage requirements by more than 50% on average. In addition, it ensures that important details are retained when unnecessary data is deleted.
