DSA e2700 represents the next generation of DSA e ̄
series, which is the digital video disk array based on iSCSI launched by Bosch. The top platform specially designed for the security field can meet the most demanding digital video storage application requirements in the field, and can manage the increasing number of digital video data. With HD and, more recently, ultra high definition (4K) IP cameras and encoders entering the monitoring market, the main challenge for this application is the growing demand for high bandwidth and low complexity of the storage infrastructure. The next generation DSA e2700 can solve this problem. System overview DSA e2700 is based on a 2U controller unit with 12 internal nl-sas (Serial Attached SCSI) enterprise class hard disks (nearline SAS) of 3.5-inch size and rotating speed of 7.2 K. For large capacity, extreme performance requirements, the controller unit can be used as standard simplex controller configuration and dual simplex controller configuration. The storage system is a high-performance solution with super flexible design, which is very suitable for a wide range of video monitoring requirements. Its balanced performance is designed to support high bandwidth and I / O intensive workloads. The disk shelf option of DSA e ̄ series is equipped with a standard 2U expansion unit with 12 SAS Enterprise hard disks of 3.5-inch size and 7.2k speed, and a high-density 4U expansion unit with 60 SAS Enterprise hard disks of 3.5-inch size and 7.2k speed, which allow custom configuration to be optimized for any environment. Furthermore, DSA e2700's fully redundant I / O paths, advanced protection features, and extensive diagnostic capabilities bring high levels of availability, integrity, and security. Basic function DSA e2700 is a co brand e2700 series launched by NetApp. It's a scalable network storage solution that provides superior security, highly "out of the box" scalability, trustworthy data protection, and simplified management for all your video data. NetApp took the lead in developing the iSCSI protocol a few years ago and created a new generation e2700 product family for the video surveillance market. The DSA e2700 in a single / dual simplex controller configuration allows up to seven expansion units (12 bays per expansion shelf) to be connected to a single / dual controller base unit. Note: This is only valid for 12 Bay expansion units with two ESM modules. The dual simplex controller configuration allows up to three 60 Bay expansion units (60 hard disks on each expansion shelf) to be connected to a dual controller base unit. Connecting a 60 Bay expansion unit to a single controller unit is not supported. It is a fully functional raid protected disk array, which can provide raid ̄ 5 Protection for environments requiring high capacity and raid ̄ 6 protection for environments requiring high availability. Raid protection is based on hardware raid implementation to achieve maximum system performance. If the system will work with multiple shelf expansion units, RAID-6 is highly recommended. Superior reliability and availability the DSA e2700 maintains the security and availability of your data with redundant hot swap power supplies and fans, and prevents double disk failures and single bit errors during raid reconstruction with high-performance raid ̄ 6.
